This is the disclaimer for the web site of the Criterion Machine Co. LLC , herein referred to as CMC.

This document replaces all previous documents including, but not limited to, previous disclaimers and other policies regarding the web site located at www.criterionmachine.com. This disclaimer applies to: all components of www.criterionmachine.com, all members, customers, volunteers, advisors, agents, suppliers and users of the web site, and all authorized third parties that are granted access to www.criterionmachine.com.

All members, customers, volunteers, advisors, suppliers, agents and users of www.criterionmachine.com are required to comply with this disclaimer.

All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos and images (including all photos) are the property of CMC or its content suppliers and are used by CMC with permission.

On photos submitted before November 1, 2007, CMC will, upon request from the supplier, remove any and all content that was supplied by the supplier. The supplier has to provide CMC with a detailed list of what is to be removed and where it is located on the site. The content will then be checked and approved against the logs of CMC list of submitted material. It might be necessary for the supplier to show proof that he actually submitted the content, and that he has the copyright on that content. After approval the content will then be removed within three (3) months of approval date.

On photos submitted after November 1, 2007, the copyright of the photo is transferred from the submitter to CMC. If a photo is submitted to CMC for posting on the web site, CMC will be granted total copyright to the image. CMC can use the image on their web site or any other fit purpose. The submitter can not request removal of the pictures on the web site, as CMC has the copyright on these images.

If you would like to use any content from this site, such as text, graphics, logos, and images (including, but not limited to, photos) which are the property of CMC or its content suppliers, you have to e-mail webmaster@criterionmachine.com  for permission. We will respond within an appropriate time span. A late or no response from us does not mean that the content can be used for your purpose.

Any unauthorized use, including, but not limited to, the reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, display or performance of the content on this site is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted under law.

This site and the e-mail list (if available) are provided by CMC on an "as is", "as available" basis. CMC makes no representations or warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the operations of the site and the e-mail list, the information, content, materials or products included on this site and the e-mail list.

CMC will not be liable for damages of any kind arising from the usage of this site, including, but not limited to, direct or indirect damages. This also includes viruses. While CMC uses antiviral software with up-to-date virus definitions, we cannot guarantee that any part of this site or e-mails sent from this site/server or affiliated sites/servers (i.e. the email list) are free of viruses. Also, new threats exist on the internet today. Trojan viruses, worms and others are known and every user should use the necessary precautions to limit access for these harmful programs. This can and will not be the responsibility of CMC.

CMC will not be liable for downtime of this site, such as routine maintenance, updates or system malfunctions that may causes problems with the user of this site.

CMC collects personal information from visitors to its web site on a voluntary basis; however, visitors are not required to give such information to access our web site. Personal information may include, without limitation, name, address, phone number, country of residence, and e-mail address. Other information might be asked in parts of this site. Each time a visitor comes to the www.criterionmachine.com site, information  is collected to improve the overall quality of our site. CMC collects the visitor's domain name/IP Address (e.g., whether the user is logged on from netscape.com or yale.edu or 255.255.255.0), referral data (e.g., we record the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to www.criterionmachine.com), and browser/platform type (e.g., a Mozilla browser on a Macintosh platform). CMC also counts, tracks, and aggregates the visitor's activity into our analysis of general traffic (e.g., tracking where traffic comes from and how traffic flows within the www.criterionmachine.com pages). CMC will not disclose your individual identity or personal data.

Although CMC will use all reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of any visitor information collected, CMC will have no liability for disclosure of any visitor information obtained due to errors in transmission or the unauthorized acts of third parties.

Any/all e-mail addresses sent to us as the result of correspondence with us will not be used or collected for the purposes of reselling to a third party and will not be added to a bulk e-mailing list. CMC may contain links to other sites; however we cannot assume responsibility for the content or privacy practices employed by these other sites.
